My 98 VFR

Bought in March 2000.  Came with Corbin seat, Two Brothers slip on,  Heli Bars, and Tinted windscreen.  Previous owner was 60 year old man who decked it out, thanks!!!  Love everything about this bike especially its sound.

My view of the world

I added a GPS to the bike (what can I say I am an engineer).  GPS was wired to the bike with a cigarette lighter adapter after eating 6 AA batteries in three days.  They say it get 14 hours* to 2 AA batteries I got about 6. *power save mode (to get the full 14 and don't think of using the backlight feature)

GPS RAM Mounting  Took 10 minutes

Step1.  Wrap bar with some electrical tape and apply bracket, tighten two nuts.

Step 2.  Tighten little black extender thing on the ball.

Step 3.  Tighten GPS holder into other end of little black extender thingy.

Step 4.  Add Emap GPS and never get lost.  Added double sided tape to the cradle because GPS was not totally secure and jumped around during bumpiness.

GPS wiring

Step 1.  Buy stuff, Garmin cig adapter http://www.cycoactive.com, DC Accessory Outlet (Radio Snack 270-1539A)

Step 2.  Remover NOHO cover, seat, bolts from gas tank (total gas tank removal not necessary just need to lift it a couple inches to route wire.

Step 3.  Start at the GPS, attach wire with tie straps all the way back to the battery.  I ran the wire on the left side strapping it to the brake line and hiding it under the gas tank.

Step 4.  Wire in DC Accessory and connect to cig adapter.  Red LED should light up.

Step 5.  Make sure straps are tight, put bolts in gas tank, return the seat and NOHO cover.

Step 6.  Enjoy countless hours of GPS guided riding without the worry of battery replacement.
